Private Lesson & Group Class Tuition

Tuition: All tuition payments are due upon the 1st (first) of every month and are to be paid in full.

Private lesson tuition is $96.00 monthly for 30-minute lessons and $172.00 monthly for 60-minute lessons. Group class tuition for Preschool Piano, Beginner Piano and Beginner Guitar is $80.00 per month.

Tuition is based on a 45-49 week year. We do not prorate or offer make-up lessons for holidays and we do not charge extra for months that have 5 lessons. Tuition remains the same amount every month.

Late Charge: If a tuition payment has not been received within 15 (fifteen) days of the scheduled due date, a $10.00 late fee will be charged for all months the account is delinquent.

The Multiple Lessons/Sibling Discount is available for siblings and students enrolled in 2 or more 30-minute private music lesson times. The discount is $10.00 per 30-minute lesson time per month. The $10.00 sibling discount only applies to group classes if two or more children are enrolled in the same group class.

Acceptable Forms of Payment

We accept payment in the form of a check, cash or money order.

If Old Towne Music is not able to deposit your check due insufficient funds, cash payment will be required for the full amount of the check along with the late payment fee charge for that month. If your check bounces due to insufficient funds then you will be required to pay cash for the full amount of the check along with the bank fee and the late payment fee.

Registration Fees and Required Lesson Materials

The registration fee is a one-time fee of $30.00 charged upon registration for all students and is nonrefundable.

Required lesson materials are not included in the registration and will be available for purchase at the student’s first lesson.

Cancellations

Make-up/extra lessons are built into the studio’s yearly calendar as well as performance opportunities. Extra group theory and performance classes maybe scheduled throughout the year at the instructor’s discretion. No reschedules, refunds or credits will be offered for missed lessons. Exceptions will, of course, be made if the instructor has excessive absences.

Summer Lessons: Lessons will continue, as scheduled, throughout the summer. If you/your child will be taking the summer off, a TWO WEEK CANCELLATION NOTICE is required in writing only. Email and verbal cancellations will not be accepted. You can insure that you will have a time slot upon your return by prepaying $20.00 of your returning month’s tuition.

Weather Cancellation: In the event of severe weather you will be informed by email and the studio Facebook page about lesson cancellations.

Withdrawal from Lessons or Classes: You may end your enrollment at anytime with a required TWO WEEK CANCELLATION NOTICE to your instructor & the owner, Erin Black.

Practicing

Progress results from regular lessons and regular practice on all assigned pieces and exercises. In general, a student needs to practice about 5 days a week for 30-45 minutes or as instructed by the instructor.

Parental Expectations

Please make sure that your child is getting their practice time in every week and practicing the material that has been assigned.

Student Responsibility: Students must bring all materials to their lessons every week. It is very difficult to have a quality lesson without the student’s required lesson materials. If the student comes to lessons without their required materials, the instructor has the authority to cut the lesson short or cancel the lesson if necessary. If the instructor feels it is necessary to cancel the lesson, a makeup lesson will not be offered.

Incentive Program

OTM students are offered incentives and rewards to drive their motivation and continued progress. Parents can also help the student earn prize points by “checking in” at Old Towne Music on Facebook and sharing the studio Facebook page.

Welcome to the Old Towne Music family. We are glad you’re here to share your talents with us. Please make sure to “like” the Old Towne Music Facebook page and do not hesitate to ask the owner, Erin Black, or your instructor any questions you may have, we are more than happy to help.
